Dear Client:

We are happy to inform you of the new executive order issued by President Biden whereby certain persons who entered the United States without inspection will be granted Parol in Place “P.I.P.” and so, will be able to adjust their status without leaving the United States to a Consular interview in their native country.

Today, USCIS announced that they will begin accepting applications for PIP on August 19, 2024, however, they have not announced the cost nor final requirements for this process. We only know of the following qualifiers:

- Must have entered without inspection
- Must have married a US citizen prior to June 17, 2024
- Must have lived in the United States for at least 10 years
- Have no major criminal record or be otherwise inadmissible
- Must not be a threat to local or national security

If you believe you qualify for this new law, we suggest you prepare the following:

2 or 3 documents per year from 2014 to and including 2024 that have your Name and Date on it such as Social Security records, school records, yours or your children’s, rental agreements, bills, taxes, medical records, dental records, pay stubs, receipts, etc.

If you believe you might have any police or arrest records, please contact us so we can help you obtain them.

Sincerely,

Laura E. Basseliz
